We are seeking three people to devote themselves to a year of service through AmeriCorps VISTA with GGC, to help us build capacity and reduce the enrichment and achievement gaps. Information on stipend and benefits can be found on the AmeriCorps VISTA website .
AmeriCorps VISTA members live and serve in some of our nation’s poorest urban and rural areas. With passion, commitment, and hard work, they create or expand programs designed to bring individuals and communities out of poverty.... About 6,500 VISTAs are placed each year in more than 1,200 projects in low-income communities around the country.
Positions start in late July.

Curriculum & Program VISTA

The Curriculum & Program Facilitator VISTA will support program implementations through training, assessment, review, and piloting in order to ensure long-term sustainability of programs. S/he will build the capacity of Global Game Changers and partner organizations to implement the curriculum to achieve maximum impact. S/he will tailor curriculum assets to suit individual programs and work with the staff to develop a universal curriculum for use at any site. Fundraising & Volunteer Coordination VISTA

The Fundraising & Volunteer Coordination VISTA will help to support the growth of the Global Game Changers organization by developing a strong network of supporters who are willing to donate time, talent, and treasure to the success of Global Game Changers and our students. S/he will help to organize and implement events, develop and expand outreach to supporters, and lay the groundwork for a relationship with donors and volunteers that will continue to serve the organization after the Member’s term. Community Engagement VISTA

The Community Engagement VISTA will research and take advantages of opportunities for community engagement with the low-income population of Louisville in order to build a stronger connection with Global Game Changers and to assess strengths and opportunities of how Global Game Changers is meeting that community’s needs through its curriculum and programs. S/he will also engage with education stakeholders by attending trainings and meetings to integrate GGC with the broader education community in order to provide students with linear services.
